Next meeting: Monday, May 15, 2017, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the DeForest Public Library, 203 Library Street, DeForest.

 Sun. May 21 What Can I Do? A Citizen's Workshop and Information-Sharing Event - 2 PM to 4 PM - Reedsburg Rec Center 134 Locust St. (enter on Vine St., across from the Reedsburg Public Library) - Some actions & issues to be covered include: accessing accurate news sources, public schools/voucher schools, immigration, elections/voting, how to run for public office, water issues, gun reform, communicating with legislators, the environment, health care, and a living wage.  The public is invited to attend and to bring their thoughts, questions, and concerns.

Kim Lamoreaux, new managing editor of the DeForest Times-Tribune, chatted with us and answered questions about herself, her ideas for the newspaper, current events and issues, and other pleasant conversation.  Welcome to the area, Kim!  Some of those present expressed a desire for more Times-Tribune coverage of Village Board meetings and the listening sessions with our Senator Scott Fitzgerald and Assembly Rep John Jagler.
